I can't ever remember seeing a horse continually denied a run at Cheltenham.  Retire you fool.

Wasn't even denied a run - was just supreme incompetence.

Oly bell says Maloney delivered the horse perfectly ffs. What a crawling bastard he is

Might not have won btw but to say maloney delivered it perfectly is borderline fraud

It was a good ride in that he had the horse on the best ground against the rail, but the horse didn't look the easiest, and maybe Maloney should have gone right rather than left as there looked to be a bigger gap that way.

Neesom didn't agree with Bell, he said had his momentum not been checked, who knows?

Getting blocked in 4 times on the run in at Cheltenham cannot be described as a good ride.

I agree the horse does look tricky though

I was referring to on the way round, James, what happened up the hill was a bit of a shambles, but I'd argue that he always in a pocket and would have committed a riding offence had he forced his way out, though as I said, there did look to be more of a gap to his right.

Almost as good as the rides on Buywise for the last 3 years in the Betvictor Cup....terrible jockey. Still living off getting Alvarado placed in the national a few times....big deal

There is nothing in life that leaves me in a bigger quandary than fancying one with Moloney up.  And I experience frequent quandaries.

It was the horse's fault apparently according to the comms LaughLaugh

"Delivered perfectly by the jockey but the horse rather let himself down" LaughLaughLaugh

i'm going on the BHA website to get the definitive assessment, wish me luck.

Stewards obv saw nowt wrong with that ride they noticed that David Bass had used whip too many times on Boreham Bill and got a 4 day suspension,as they say, you couldn't make it up.

The comms noticed the horse we're all talking about it and the one person that you'd like to hear from is Paul Moloney, and we won't will we ??

It's beyond beggars belief this idiotic ride never got a lengthy ban and sent to retrain with rest who learning to ride at the, British Racing School.

Oh wait BHA has no sense of logic and common sense!Crazy

I find it hard to believe they wouldn't want to win that race at HQ today. But watching the ride, it's hard to think otherwise.

As professional sportsmen, I think jockeys have a very easy ride from the media.  How would they react if they got a mark out of ten for every ride just as footballers and rugby players endure game-in, game-out? Or -heaven forbid - a Bob Willis post-race critique like our cricketers face every match?
