Terrible. Shocking trainer and rider combo.

These lads continue to get away with it  , can anyone provide a valid or genuine reason why any horse would be given a ride like that ???
Report General Idea October 27, 2016 5:13 PM BST
Oh I think he was trying alright, he just fu£ked it up. Should have gone wide coming down the hill and would have won easy.

He only seemed to actually make an effort inside the final 50 yards!

i backed it..jockey rides like that..should of made more effort turning in, think the faller was going well also..not a great ride..

Same old story.
The leaders get tired after battling it out and one comes through to pick them off as they weaken.
Then the rider of the strong finisher gets it in the neck for not trying hard enough earlier.
He was riding it from two out and couldn't get to them, they both weakened close home and allowed him to pinch second.
That's how I see it.

Not too sure what race you watched then but you might want to give it another look. Jockey doesn't even pick up the whip until after the last where he gives the horse a couple of cracks which the horse responds to after looking to have a double handful turning for home. Total contrast to the ride given to the well backed winner who received three cracks of the whip between the second last and the last followed by a further five or six after the last up to the line.
That's how I see it...

Haven't looked at this ride yet, but don't need to. Jockey is a ***** and nothing short of it.

And as for the trainer.....

jjljjl seems to judge a ride by the number of times the jockey strikes the horse with his whip!

I stand by my first appraisal of the ride.
The best horse won by the way.

O'Regan is not to be trusted. IMO he should have won the race. Any decent jockey would have got that home.

Can punters explain why trainers continue to use jockeys if they're not to be trusted?

Do they think that trainers can't see what they can see?
