If Spencer WAS a greyhound, he would be a slow starter, make use of all the scrimmaging at the first bend, intelligently sneaking through on the rail and skipping clear. Top class.

Jamilla - stick to walking dogs or baking cakes or whatever your day job may be, my dear: you're on a sticky wicket if you go head to head with me on grammar :)PPP

If I WERE a rich man... I would not be wasting time sparring online with keyboard warriors
If Spencer WERE a greyhound... he would fall out of the traps, hold himself up, drop in stone last and try and win on the line...

That was American dogs, BTW - I had great fun once at the dogs in Miami in the early 90s on a business trip: 8-dog races meant multiple pile-ups and I just picked fast starters with decent times (a la Crayford tactics)

Sorry for going a bit off-topic, but remember those 8 doggers at Bristol, opening show around 150% and the first bend carnage which put half the field out of the race ! Even the forecast doubles brigade fought shy of those races.

Pastafarian - thanks for that. I thought we had agreed that Jamie WAS a greyhound. If this scenario is impossible however, I will go along with you and suggest WERE. Either way, may I request a less insulting attitude. What's wrong with walking dogs or baking anyway?

Ballyreagan Bob was on a different planet to Scurlogue Champ, I saw them both race many times, B.B. was the best dog I've ever seen. 32 wins in a row, a feat which will never be surpassed. When they did race against each other Bob won by half the track and Scurlogue Champ stopped racing.

Either way, may I request a less insulting attitude. Nothing personal - and the :)PPP was intended to show one's tongue was firmly in one's cheek! If you wanna see me genuinely trying to be insulting, read some of my posts regarding Tanya and Fitzgerald - two of my big-time pet-hates...! http://community.betfair.com/horse_racing/go/thread/view/94102/30745603/whats-tarnyaaaaaaaaaaaa-do-from-the-end-of-the-year?post_id=550236521#550236521
What's wrong with walking dogs or baking anyway? Nothing - it wasan attempt at humour a clumsy passing reference combo to Camilla (who may be v nice but looks like a real old dog) and Jamilla - jam Etc Etc...
I'll get my coat and stick to tipping losers
although I note noone picked me up on my other thread where I suggested following Moore on Friday at Donnie - 9/4 and 9/1 winners made it profitable

Pastafarian - what caught my eye regards your blog was nothing to do with the correct use of grammar, but indeed the mention of JPS. Ninety percent of my replies to bloggers on here seem to be defending him. I think Jamie is a top class jockey and cannot for the life of me understand why he is so vilified on these pages.
