Every time I refresh I get a box opening with an offer from some bookie or other. I find this happening on most sites I visit lately, just start reading something then a fecking great box opens and you can't read on without dealing with it. Like walking into M+S and someone throws a sheet over yer heed til you answer some question or other.

M+S working fine for me saddo

Use it everyday and haven't experienced any probs at all. Windows 7 with IE 9 (or whatever the latest version is).
Report Crottly October 4, 2016 11:42 PM BST
I have had the same problem with an advert flashing up. I had to close down the site and re-open it so there is a problem of some kind but has been okay today.
Report insideinfo October 5, 2016 12:18 AM BST
yea thats whats happening with me crottly.at first i thought my pc had some sort of virus/malware but then i realised the problem was with the oddschecker site itself.
Report insideinfo October 5, 2016 12:24 AM BST
one of the most common pop-ups/redirects im getting is "2016 annual visitors survey" its a f**kin pain in the hole because once it appears where the oddschecker page used to be i have to close down the whole browser and reopen oddschecker.some of the other adds can be made to go away by clicking on the back arrow in top left of browser which takes me back to the oddschecker page i had been viewing previous.

I get bookies offers when i visit porn sites.

Theres a moral in there somewhere....

I use Spyhunter4 as recommended by a mate. Not cheap, but really thorough. About £60 per year. No probs whatsoever with viruses etc. since started using that about a year ago now.

....and before anyone mentions it, no, I don't have any financial interests in that company! I'm just a customer.

One thing though, I use Internet Explorer and have ticked the box somewhere which clears cookies and history every time IE is closed.

It sounds like some posters have been infected with some sort of malware, rather than there being a problem with Oddschecker.

If you are using the chrome browser, try the chrome cleanup tool.
https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2765944?hl=en-GB

If you are using other browsers, check for funny extensions or toolbars.

A few months ago, I had to clean a friends computer. As well as messing with his browser, the malware also changed his DNS provider, so check that if you know how.

There's definitely something wrong with the oddschecker site, been playing up for weeks.
It was all over twitter the other week.

I think it's all to do with the bookie popups that they are trying to push.

What insideinfo describes is almost certainly malware and the same is probably true for saddo. Since I've not noticed any bookie pop-ups on Oddschecker, I'm inclined to suspect those too are caused by malware.

If you are being redirected to sites other than the one you requested, or you get pop-ups from external sites, your first thought should be that your PC or laptop has a problem.

Same prob ok when you open it but if you leave it open for a length of time and go onto another site it becomes like some kind of magazine, dont think its a virus as all rest working fine.

Quite random on oddschecker ramruna. Just refreshed and nothing came up. The others I refer to are on news ,media and shopping sites, give you ten seconds to see the goods and then they cover yer screen with some invite or other, feckin kills me.

Get Adblock Plus and Ghostry, and annoying pop-ups will be a thing of the past on all websites
Report toffee man October 5, 2016 9:51 AM BST

hi ramruna,i initially thought it was a problem with my pc but this is only happening when in the window where i am using  the oddschecker site,i may be using 5 other sites in different windows with no issue at all.
Report insideinfo October 5, 2016 10:01 AM BST
by the way i have contacted oddschecker who said they are aware of issues like this when using the site, but apart from that they were'nt much help!
Report ghostlygunner October 5, 2016 10:06 AM BST
