I hate days like this when the potential rain isn't forecast until the afternoon. If it stays dry then Limato the class act should be a banker. Just hope they pull him out of there's too much wet stuff......

Limato has never run over the 5 furlong trip and the trainer isn't confident of a win even if the ground stayed good / firm. Of course Mr. Candy has a reputation for playing down his horses chances.
The owner supplemented Limato for this race so it will be interesting if the ground description has 'soft' in it if he decides to run the horse.

The way he travels through his races you would say 5f would be no problem. I think if it's good to soft he'll be fine but anything worse and you'd have to rule him out.....although I doubt if they'll run him anyway if it gets that bad......

Very true Portman. I don't think he needs it rattling quick and a bit of ease in the ground would be fine. The trainer has said this himself. What I'm a bit afraid of is half the time the jockeys don't seem to know what the ground is like. It wouldn't be the first time the winning jockey of the first race jumps off and says its soft and then the winner of the second says its good.....doesn't help us out that's for sure......
