Same here phantom had the same in mind. The obvious alternative is Meccas Angel but it's hard to forget the terrible ride by Mulrennan (and his countless others) in the Kings Stand......find it very hard to put any trust in him whatsoever.....

Rain has begun in W Yorks, shouldn't be long getting there.

Good question. Depends how much they get again. Gonna suit Ivan Grozny as well tomorrow for sure......

York is a nightmare when it rains on top of the watered ground. They have ruined this track which used to be one of the fairest around.

Rain just started at York, light at the moment, approx 5mm due this afternoon. Should not change things to much if so?

Raining now in York, looks persistant for next few hours too according to forecast

About 5 miles East of the course, very light drizzle for past half an hour but not enough to wet the pavement.

The BHA going page for York says "Watering: No watering applied Thursday night due to forecast rain for Friday. "
