best horse won and jock pulled the whip through. The horse just wouldnt straighten but i agree with Tom the best horse won and the result wasnt effected.
Report jackkat July 29, 2016 6:44 PM BST
Yep best horse won thought it would have been more 1.20 ish
Report Uberalles July 29, 2016 6:45 PM BST
If they touched, then should go. Did they definitely bump?
Report knoxville July 29, 2016 6:48 PM BST
the comments here just show the contempt that the general public have for SE. we have become so used to inept stewarding that many think this result should stand. the second horse was clearly impeded and carried 25 yards sideways across the track. and many say the best horsewon?? a straight run and the fav is beat, abs no doubt. the stewards have us brainwashed.
Report JetLoneStar July 29, 2016 6:48 PM BST
Has to go for me, horse was tired after pulling so hard.
Report Oceanfinance July 29, 2016 6:50 PM BST
the second horse closed the gap when the race was over for all intents and purposes

Report basilbrush July 29, 2016 7:00 PM BST
Didnt bet, but Stewards at Bath are retarded throwing that out.
Report Oceanfinance July 29, 2016 7:03 PM BST
if it takes 25 mins to decide then the winner shd get the benefit, the c*nts dont even understand their own rules
Report tinytuco July 29, 2016 7:03 PM BST
The flip flop was due to the length of the enquiry.....

You really think the last price traded would be around 1.7 if anything dodgy was happening??

But then again Elvis still might be alive...........
Report onlooker July 29, 2016 7:03 PM BST
The VERY SIMILAR race at Wolverhampton, recently, was tighter than that -
- and - although the 'First past the post' was DISQUALIFIED .... They, then, got the race BACK, on Appeal.

Chased leader until led 2f out, ridden and hung right inside final furlong, stayed on, finished 1st, disqualified and placed 2nd, later reinstated as winner
Report knoxville July 29, 2016 7:04 PM BST
stewards did their job correctly. as i said because of the fact that this does not happen near as much as it should, the racing public has become numb to the rules being applied correctly. the second horse was clearly carried 25 yards across the track. what would the outcome be if the horses were carried the opposite way into the rails??
Report Oceanfinance July 29, 2016 7:05 PM BST
knoxville it was obvious watching the race the winner won on merit. It shouldn't have been changed.
Report Wesdag July 29, 2016 7:07 PM BST
In the case you state onlooker, the fptp although it hung, didn't actually bump the 2nd.
Report knoxville July 29, 2016 7:08 PM BST
wasnt obvious to me
or the stewards

the fav carried the sec horse 25 yards across the track, now that was obvious.
Report Oceanfinance July 29, 2016 7:09 PM BST
doesnt matter if it carried it 250 yards they have to think the second would have won without the interference
Report Uberalles July 29, 2016 7:11 PM BST
He was carried across the track, of course he lost a head in that
Report knoxville July 29, 2016 7:12 PM BST
and he would. if you think its ok for any or every horse to run like the disq fav then we would have carnage and serious injuries in every race esp jumps
Report roida July 29, 2016 7:14 PM BST
the betting had same opinion as the forum...50/50
Report boosup July 29, 2016 7:17 PM BST
Bath buns call the patsy home ... lots of eccles around the track for muffin.
