This is dreadful. At the time of his death, read and heard a few things about him being arrogant and bad tempered, but this is unreal. Enjoyed his Racing Post column, bought his book. Enjoyed sharing his stories with non racing fans, and all the time a horrible dark truth.How many more horror stories are still out there?

Probably, as usual, this clement fraud revelation needs alot of sensitive addressing, victims, family shame, implications etc, pandora has been out a while now everywhere, contry/worldwide, and will continue, in the very longrun, outcomes can only be positive men, spouses/mums etc will be forced to continue to reveal their conscienses and ultimately be the better for it.

I wouldn't read too much into the wife's apology. The son is a PR guru so they probably want to apologise and move on. It is unlikely the wife knew anything one way or the other. To be clear, Freud is guilty.
