A pretend grab of the hood and then takes it off at 2nd attempt. Questions need to be asked after a big late drift.

So smelly that. This happens time and again, I think the Starter should ensure all hoods are removed before he lets them go. If the horse can't deal with it they should be withdrawn.

The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Raul de Silva, the rider of BOURBONISTO, had been slow to remove the blindfold. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the start they accepted his explanation that he missed the blindfold on the first attempt resulting in the colt being slow away.
