The 5000-1 odds are bandied about all over todays papers and news reports . But which firm actually offered those odds on their pre-season coupon ?
I suspect it may have been LADCROOKS-but its most unlike them to offer TOP ODDS on anything !
I saw a betting slip that showed the BALD ONE offered 2000-1.
So was the amazing odds of 5000-1 generally available ?
(Also posted on Football forum)
And of course Betfair backers only got 1000-1  !
Shrewd minds and all that .

I did lay them to a small amount at 3/1 late on .
I could have lost a small fortune because I thought at the end of the day they had no chance . So like you -I have been lucky !

thought it was easy money......I would have layed to lose a grand...........which is big money to me........I would have probably have tried to reduce my loss but which ever way I would have lost a decent amount

The punter that had a score @ 5000/1 and cashed out for £29,000 has got to live with the fact that he threw away another £71,000.
I wonder if he was offered just a half cashout and leave the other half running.
Report kavvie May 3, 2016 10:59 AM BST
picture of a cash out doing the rounds on facebook. some one had 50p on leicester at 5000/1  he cashes it out for 45p   6 august. must have been badly stuck for 45p!!

Cheap advertising for the next twenty years.
Turnover will be up, and more turnover means more profits.
Every punter will be backing 1000/1 plus for ever.  Ka-ching, ka-ching.

Great line in one of the papers today, "It was like winning the Grand National - on a cat !"

Unbiased it would have been worse to have "thrown away " £29,000 if he was a man without much money.  Also Leicester have been very lucky in recent games. West Ham game wasn't a penalty. Man U should have had one etc.

OUCH ADGE !
That must have hurt .
But at the time you laid the wager  I bet you thought it was like picking a tenner up off the floor ?
It takes a lot of getting back when ten grand is paid out in one go .
It just shows that miracles CAN happen .

adge  would have had to have had £10,000 to cover the bet.
Don't believe it.

If Adge laid Leicester at a thousand then presumably it was part of a book. I would have thought Leicester would have been a good result for him?
Report Daryl Revok May 3, 2016 2:17 PM BST
It was Laddies. They were in line on the front two (Chelski & Man City) and went best price on the rest.

Next season the firms are going to have fantastic books,as confidence will be high with all the punters, backing their very little chance teams, thinking any team can do it.No empty columns.
Fivers, tenners, scores, galore, hoping for a cash-out.The PR boys have done their job in style.

He must've let it ride for a long time to get that offer.

I know quite a few people who had between a pound and a tenner on at 2000/1 and 5000/1.

Sadblokes were on Radio 2 earlier and said the MAX for any football bet is now 1000/1. They took a small hit (fort them) £3million but lots of free P/.R.

Not sure the exact match Roida - it was around the time of the grand national - he's not a betting person at all although worth a few bob .. bear in mind the each way bit of the bit was already secured so I guess 1/4 odds at 1-1250 guaranteed him the £25,000.

14th april story is printed

The supporter – who does not want to be identified – put £20 on the Foxes at 5000-1 at the start of the season.

He stood to win just over £133,000 if he had let the original bet ride and Claudio Ranieri's men took the title.

But he bottled it and cashed out early – cutting more than £25,000 from his winnings.

The punter almost held their nerve to the end of a dream season.

But the risk of losing out on a six-figure sum was too much for the fan.

must be a typo and it was 20 e/w

which is 133,333

must be 1/3 the odds a place

so ,phastest phingers furst ,what price did he cash out at o ye o sharp mind  ?
Report s.kenbo May 3, 2016 6:25 PM BST
If he lost £25k out of a possible £133k, then he lost just under 20% so that would mean he got paid at just over 4000/1? The exact odds I don't know.
Report HowTheMightyFall May 3, 2016 6:47 PM BST
I'm pretty sure Leicester were 5,000/1 with BETVICKY when I checked the price history of the bet on Oddscheckera couple of months ago.
Report big_keef May 3, 2016 6:52 PM BST
if you read the link I put up you will see the bookies didn't fare too badly over the course of the season, the big teams losing or drawing on a regular basis, meant accumulator bets were going in the bookies favour most weeks, made up for the payout on Leicester, they rarely lose overall
