terrible... held up on the inner in a slow run race.  needed to move out down the back. Very poor appreciation of what was heppenning around him.

Had every chance, winner well on top at line.

Agree should have won comfortably enough. I have noticed this a bit with him lately holding horses up at the back. He done it a few fancied ones that were backed last week at Cheltenham too. The only difference being that they were not good enough anyways but should have finished closer to winners on the day I don't think its a style that suits him. Horse will win easy next time at no price ridden prominently which is of no value to those who backed it today.

The horse was fav and clearly fancied by a few as backed down from double figure odds overnight. If you were on at those odds you would be not very happy. I really do not understand what was to be gained riding the way it was. Skelton is a fine jockey when riding his horses prominently or close to the pace.

Mr Phantom, I made the same point about Skelton a few months ago.

He should have won today. It appeared as if he was coming with a surge up the rails but he suspends the drive, the horse loses momentum and by the time he goes again he was never going to get there. Not sure what he was thinking. Had that been the last race of the season and he was on 99 winners I think the result might have been different.

He's not the best, that's for sure. Jockeys do make mistakes and he made several in this one race. Don't expect to see Asum again now till the autumn but keep him onside. He clearly has ability and the dam was a very good racehorse.
