With the recent media coverage regarding Andrew and Daniel Frankish and their horrendous maltreatment of their family pet bulldog "Baby", their sentencing of 21 weeks suspended for two years, and a tagged curfew for six months has riled a lot of people as inadequate punishment for such disgusting and cruel actions.
The poor animal was repeatedly thrown down flights of stairs, "pile driven" into the ground from head height, swung around, and stamped all over.
"Baby" was put to sleep three months later after losing the use of her hind legs. This was all captured on camera, and it is clear it was for their sick enjoyment.
We believe this sentence should be reconsidered and the punishment should be greater for such horrendous treatment of a defenceless animal.

I will sign mate, I already signs lots of petitions on Care2 regarding animal welfare. A lot of them gather a huge amount of signatures and make a real difference. Im sure we think along the same lines where sentences for animal cruelty should be severe and any idiot that wishes to engage in activities such as bullfighting deserves to die a slow painful death.

I signed the one recently regarding the case of the koala in Victoria, two guys committed cruelty beyond belief and yet escaped jail time.
I've been signing loads for years. Get all that stuff from Compaaion In World farming too, and Peta. Always put links on chit chat and here. A lot think I'm a bloody nuisance but stuff em, lol. Not as if I'm doing it every day or even month.
I don't see how caring about animals and giving a voice to those that don't have one is being a nuisance. Keep it up mate.

That is disgusting and couldn't agree more these scum have got way scot free. Can't agree with donating to the RSPCA though, a repulsive organisation.

Just to clarify it is NOT my fund-raising page. Apparently, as pointed out to be on a similar thread on chit chat, the person who started the petition does not have to hand the donations over to the stated recipient, which I wasn't aware of. Not that the vast majority of these petitions from the source this came from won't be genuine, I'm sure.

Also why you should call it carp beats me. If half a million signatures are reached, and it's well over 400,000, it will really stand out. Petitions over 100,000 nearly always get debated.

I didn't have a photo of the bulldog, but I felt the thread needed a photo to promote interest and increase repugnance.
the dog in the photo DID make a full recovery. But the dog in the photo is NOT the dog referred to in the opening post. Sadly that had to be put down shortly after being abused so badly.
