Lightly raced after winning at galway festival in 2013, won his maiden hurdle this season before a very "quiet" ride from Russell in Feb in a race that always throws up one very good horse in the fullness of time. He then came down at the last flight when beginning to stay on strongly and arguably would have caught Urano that day, he'd had had Albert Bartlett and Neptune entries but I thought they may have sneaked him in at the bottom of the Martin Pipe had he won that day, although it would have been difficult as that panned out.
The extra distance and better ground are very likely going to improve him further and with the trainer thinking him very useful, his travails have him on a modest 126, he should be a good bit better than that.

Looks by far the toughest race on the card to me! Think the fav has the best form in the race, but the run of seconds would have to worry you. Think Robin Thyne looks a really nice sort with plenty of improvement to come and he'd be just about my pick, but agree the Weld horse is very interesting. Think the Mullins top weight Burgas is interesting too as his last run now looks very good form. Then there is a Tony Martin gamble to throw into the mix!
All in all, a race to play small imo. |

Powers going money if second to SP favourite in the 3.20 at FH. Mister Diablo is 8/15 and Pink coat is 5/2.. Only two other runners 11s and 16s. Pistol park is anon runner. Looks like a free bet on Pink Coat...never that easy!!!
