After the excitement of Cheltenham, just goes to show its not all about money, they could triple prize money here and it would still be a pile of crap!!

I'm enjoying it although I didn't enjoy watching Pat Dobbs on the favourite, there.
Report GEORGE.B March 26, 2016 1:48 PM GMT
I'd say that second race was more exciting than I anything I saw the Willie & Ruby show
Report redmal March 26, 2016 1:48 PM GMT
It's quite exciting and the best races are to come.
Report s.kenbo March 26, 2016 1:51 PM GMT
What about the first race? The eventual third looked like it had the race won, then veered right across the track. 1.01 busted.
Report roggrain March 26, 2016 1:55 PM GMT
One man's meat is another's poison bankit. I can't stand jumps racing,so I don't watch it!

If you find Dubai boring why do you watch it?
Report MJK March 26, 2016 2:14 PM GMT
Are all the Arabs searched on the way in?

No idea what happened at second race, but if it's better than seeing sprinter sacre regain a title and Annie win a champion hurdle then it must be off the scale.

Report Roger De Bris March 26, 2016 2:57 PM GMT
If you backed one of the winners at 12/1 you would love it.

So you're commenting on something you're not watching?

At least it won't be £5.20 for a pint of Guiness at Meydan. Cry
Report sparrow March 26, 2016 3:06 PM GMT
Never expected you to defend Meydan, onlooker. Grin
Report onlooker March 26, 2016 3:08 PM GMT
I'm not - I am berating Cheltenham
Report sparrow March 26, 2016 3:10 PM GMT
Thought you might be.

Apparently alcohol is quite expensive in Dubai!
Report differentdrum March 26, 2016 3:27 PM GMT
Agree with the original poster. Wouldn't be quite so bad if it was just on one channel. The all-weather is a bad enough intrusion into the jumps season as it is. How about scrapping this pile of junk and starting the Flat season after the Grand National? Let's face it the sport's leading trainer doesn't even bother too much about getting his horses fit until after the first two Classics.
Report HarmonicaPhil March 26, 2016 3:40 PM GMT
Seeing Sprinter Sacre win or Annie or anything else is not worth a toss if you hav'nt backed them
Report Storm Alert March 26, 2016 3:57 PM GMT
I've got it on but to be honest only have one eye on it.  Results are too random to have serious bets.  Postponed is the only bet I quite fancy everything else is speculative fun.  Not a patch on Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot, Goodwood for excitement.
Report HarmonicaPhil March 26, 2016 3:59 PM GMT
Excitement is all about a winning bet especially at a decent price.Thank you Ryan Moore
Dont know when I last backed a winner at Cheltenham at 11/1
Report TRD.Racing March 26, 2016 4:06 PM GMT
Like watching paint dry, shouldn't even be on the TV. Each to their own though
Report Storm Alert March 26, 2016 4:07 PM GMT
Duramente gave that winner Real Steel you got 11/1 5lb and approx 1/2 beating last time.  So is Duramente a good thing in the next @ 3/1 or is the extra distance going to sink him?
Report Storm Alert March 26, 2016 4:18 PM GMT
LOL, no view then?
Report HarmonicaPhil March 26, 2016 4:19 PM GMT
Dont know Storm Alert but I wont be risking my winnings on finding out
Report HarmonicaPhil March 26, 2016 4:21 PM GMT
The ability of the jockey to get a good prominent position early in the race seems to be important at Meydan

3.8 out to 6.6 suggests market doesn't think so!
Report sparrow March 26, 2016 4:30 PM GMT
Duramente to race without shoes.
Report jaykally March 26, 2016 4:32 PM GMT
racing bare footed wtf. Can he still win?, I'm on already

did well with no shoes.

Probably would have won with shoes, market knew before the announcement was made, that's for sure!

why on earth run without shoes?  that's like usain bolt running with no shoes for the 100m.
Report patsyhall March 26, 2016 4:43 PM GMT
Pulled shoe in parade ring tried to put it back on and horse was having none of it so presume the farrier was told to pull the other front shoe off so wouldn't be too unbalanced
Report Storm Alert March 26, 2016 4:43 PM GMT
Running without shoes what a joke.  Still didn't harm Postponed chances.  I've heard they are going to blindfold Ice Keen in the next expect an announcement just before the off. Crazy
Report GREEDISGOOD March 26, 2016 4:49 PM GMT
the amount of energy wasted without running without shoes must of been enormous.
Report GREEDISGOOD March 26, 2016 4:49 PM GMT
especially so on turf
Report Storm Alert March 26, 2016 4:54 PM GMT
I do try to like James Willoughby but he doing my head in, thankfully just the big one to go (Frosted for me).  I hope it don't clash with the bumper races on RUK!
