worst Gold Cup commentary I've ever heard

What the hell is going on? Is horse racing just so awful that it can't find decent commentators? Not of the Sir Peter standard but still I feel that there is much more to offer than what there was on display today. I was listening to the CH4 live and now when I'm watching the replay the RUK commentary is unbearable !!! Anyone else thinks the same or have i gone mad?

He's dreadful. Cheltenham one of a dwindling number of racecourses that employ him.

but for got the GC...?! just awful, commentary is almost the part of the race, with that poor effort its just not worth it..

Yeah, the closing stages I was expecting something from the commentator but he was absolutely useless and flat.

Agree completely. Always liked Cattermole but today he seemed like he was bored and distracted. What was going on?
