She asked Paul to name is best chance at Cheltenham but then you couldn't hear the name of the horse because of her big trap. She says Theatre Guide's jumping is fine but his jumping has been poor this year (I think it may improve on better ground though). Paul was just about to answer another question at the end but there wasn't time due to the lengthy, boring and irrelevant video montages at the start and end of the programme. Absolute joke.

Can't see what the big problem with Plunkett is. She's coherent, loves the game and generally far better infront of camera than quite a few others. Wouldnt' be anywhere near the bottom of my list but there you go....

No idea what link GregGory has made between that post and what Plunkett fancies in the Eider....but anyway, anyone that's been in the game longer than 5 minutes will tell you that of course horses in double digits can improve.
Rather fortunately there's one running today so we can all get our heads round this crazy phenomenon....2:50 Newcastle, cheers.

Ch4 racing is an in house, magazine show for the racing industry. Sucking up to owners, trainers and jocks doesn't help the punter. Dollying up questions to get a non commital cliched reply is a waste of air time. The slow motion montages to music ala BBC is the same. Then we get masters of the bleeding obvious like Cunningham and Fitz telling us f*ck all. I stopped watching it a while ago and get an extra hour in bed.

Seagull booked his ticket onto racing's gravy train a long time ago. Once they've got their seat, it's almost impossible to oust them.
Pricewise has long since been of any benefit to punters

Couldn't disagree more with The Headmaster. Siappointing to see that silly t@rt Plunkett back on the panel. People who think that "horsies" has little to do with punting and all to do with patting them and feeding them sugar-lumps or whatever she thinks the point of horse-racing is have no place on a show for punters imo.....

i think they mess about with the panel too much 2 permanent presenters such as Rishi and Jimbo then add 2 different guests each Saturday. Much as i respect G.Cunninghams opinions he is much too dour for this kind of programme

No-one ever said this was a betting show Crawford. Quite the opposite - the best Morning Line's are when they do't do cr@p betting previews and get out to studs and trainer's yards imo.
If you need Cunningham and Fitzy to help your punting out you're in trouble I'd suggest.

Racing is a serious business & should not be dumbed down as an entertainment show. (mind you, I agree with Phil Bull ostensibly, a triviality it is)
Like it or not, most of the guys/gals on ML know their stuff but forced by C4 hierarchy to treat racing as a bit of fun on a Saturday afternoon.
I'd prefer a 20 minute 1970's style show hosted by Julian Wilson with Clive Graham & Peter O'Sullevan, with an occasional guest who actually wants to be there!
If you like racing, well you would watch the show, and if you were curious you would enjoy the education without the patronising.
