Tried to place multi bets with Tea Caddy's & BF Sportsbook that included Seven Summits & Feeltherhythm ...... message reads:
"Highlighted selections cannot be combined in Multiples"
So looks like they are running scared from a suspected BC final coup to round off his career.
Still got plenty on with other firms for a £1.8m touch ... Laugh

If it is going down(and I hope it is) my guess(and that's all it is) is that the 4 horses of the apocalypse are Feeltherhythm 1.40 Southwell, Seven Summits 5.25 Kempton, Miss PhillyJinks 6.25 Kempton and Highwayman 7.25 Kempton. My reasoning for the last 2 is that B375 and Billys have taken their prices down on those 2 races and Shane Kelly is on both and there is money about on here for them both. Pure guesswork but I hope they all win and I can retire.

Billy,
You are wrong ....

Have been doing multi bets (Lucky's, Patents, Yankee's etc) on Sportsbook since they started pricing up early .... sometimes stakes reduced, but always got on. First time they have prevented me from including specified horses ..... PP's the same.

Gl with this but Seven Summits doesn't exactly have the look of a 'coup' horse in it's form (as with a typical curley coup) but feel free to point out any form that would make you back it........
Report kennythebetboy February 10, 2016 12:54 PM GMT
Best form for any of these "BC" horses is that they have been standing in a field for a year, just waiting for the right day to come along .... then booooooom! ..... deja vu !!
Had a flat rating of 95 at one time, so not exactly useless.
Prefer to back horses with a string of coconuts than one who won it's last race .....

They don't need to win for the protagonists to make their money.
Place £5 acca on four 10/1 shots. Potential winnings £73,205. Create 'buzz' (mentioning Barney Curley here tends to do the trick), more people get involved, bookies liabilities mount up, horses cut to 2/1.
Cashout calculates that you'd now need to stake £900 to win that amount and makes you an offer, probably £300, a £60/1 return. All before the gates have opened in the first race.
Personally, I'm glad cashout is biting the bookies on the arse - a nefarious invention.

Race 2 - 1:40pm. THE 32Red.com HANDICAP STAKES (CLASS 6)
The Stewards held an enquiry into the fall of Oisin Murphy, the rider of VIVACISSIMO (IRE), rounding the
bend into the home straight. They interviewed Murphy and having heard his evidence and viewed
recordings of the incident the Stewards found that the fall was caused by the horse suffering an injury.
Being satisfied that no other horse or rider was involved, the Stewards took no further action.
The Stewards held an enquiry to establish the circumstances behind the withdrawal at the start of
FEELTHERHYTHM, ridden by Shane Kelly and trained by Des Donovan. They interviewed the trainer, the
Veterinary Surgeon and the Veterinary Officer, and the rider by telephone. Kelly reported that on arrival at
the start, he was unhappy with the mare and asked the Veterinary Surgeon to examine her. The Veterinary
Surgeon confirmed that after concerns expressed by Kelly that he thought the mare was unsound, and
having trotted her up at the start, found the mare to be slightly lame and advised for her to be withdrawn.
The Veterinary Officer reported that when initially leaving the racecourse, she observed that the mare was
lame, however, on subsequent examination back at the stable yard, and having trotted her up without
saddle or rider, FEELTHERHYTHM appeared to be sound. The Stewards noted their explanations.

So it wasn't lame after all ..... DevilLaughLaughLaugh

Remember the p[loy Adam Kirby used at Kempton a couple of years ago when riding a plot horse for John Butler (& BC).....
walked it to the start and then asked for the girths to be tightened, delayed the start for about 5 minutes so they could pile the money on with BF and bookies .... led all the way and hosed up .... previously held up at the back and never got involved. The planks (stewards) never even questioned them, accepted explanations for delaying start and feeble excuse for different tactics.

Report smirnoff2therescue February 10, 2016 10:56 PM GMT
it was all over twatter long before kenny came on - damage had been done - but dont be surprised if you soon see some modifications to "cash out" scenarios from the bookie boys cos thats what the whole coup was about today imo and the n/r stroke was a masterstroke imo of course

Night night LoveLove
Report kennythebetboy February 11, 2016 10:38 AM GMT
Outside factors contrived to the coup being abandoned, Ludlow called off, the withdrawal of Feeltherhythm in suspicious circumstances with a shortening sp of 5/2 against a BF price of 6.50 at the time, no doubt to pump up the R4 deduction. All the others drifted like a barge on BF, with Seven Summits at the off showing £265k matched (so £132.5k bet) to significant sums, probably by bookies hedging money.
I can't see them making too much from cashing out, even after the withdrawal and the first winner (Pirate's Treasure) ..... if anything the strategy would be to pull out the last runner on a self cert (Highwayman) before Seven Summits ran and crease the prices even further (to odds-on?).on the 2 left to run ... the liabilities would then be worth it for a big cash-out.
The one thing that has been achieved is to show the flaws in the "cash-out" facility and how it can be manipulated.

I have been lucky enough to have been involved at the early stages of both BC coups (May 2010 & Jan 2014)to enable me to have a very comfortable life, but don't think it is easy to get money on these days, you need a network of placers to get the bets on under the bookies radar and then to restricted amounts. Therefore numerous multi bets to small stakes make it possible, before the radar kicks in.
Along the way there have been quite a few "coups" that have been landed or have been near misses for other "dodgy characters", with measly prize money the only way to make racing pay is to land a touch or two, otherwise a lot of small stables will go out of business.

Will Barney try and stuff them again? ..... the answer is Yes (60%) & No (40%) .... remember his biggest talents are "Patience" & "Shrewdness", so don't be surprised to see another "Swansong Coup" before he departs and hopefully I will be involved.

So there was a 'coup' then? Funny that as to me it just looked like some horses running on the same day with a tenuous connection to Curly, some people placing those bets, the bookies then make the 'connection' and as they are all now spineless cowards this 'coup' develops. A few years ago, these horses would have run and barely anybody would be aware of any 'coup' - mainly as there wasn't one. I mean come on Seven Summits as part of this coup - in that race?
