Just re watched the race, seriously wtf was that ride about 
The Stewards held an enquiry into the running and riding of CLASSIC MISSION, ridden by Mr J Harding
and trained by Jonathan Portman, which was dropped out and detached in last place and ridden tenderly
until approaching the final two furlongs when the gelding was asked for an effort and ran on to finish sixth,
beaten 15 lengths. They interviewed the rider and the trainer’s representative. They also received a report
from the Veterinary Officer, who confirmed that a post-race examination failed to reveal any abnormalities,
and observations from the Handicapper. The rider stated his instructions were to keep the gelding happy
and not be too far out of his ground but in his opinion the leaders had gone off too quickly and he was
unable to go the pace. He added that he tried to squeeze the gelding to improve his position and felt he
had made every effort to obtain the best possible placing. The trainer’s representative stated that he had
spoken to Mr Portman who was unhappy with the ride given to CLASSIC MISSION who he felt had been
too far back in the race and, therefore, given too much to do. Having heard their evidence and viewed
recordings of the race the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (B)59.4 and guilty of failing to take all
reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing. They suspended him for 14
days on dates to be notified by the British Horseracing Authority.

correct punishment in my opinion , just a shame they havent the bottle to do it to established jockeys aswell , you see just as bad a ride most days , brian hughes on nautical twilight an example from the other day for starters
