why do in running players think RUK owes them something? its a racing channel for racing fans, its not Betfair TV, the sport doesnt revolve around in running betting

maybe if you all put your money down before the race there would be decent liquidity for people to get a bet on, you know, having an opinion and backing it, proper punting

surely if you are a serious in running player, and by that I mean a lowlife scumbag who goes to desperate measures to have the best chance of stealing money, you would want RUK as far behind as possible, whats really the difference to you whether its 1.5 or 1.0 behind? the sharks still have the advantage and all the other mugs playing on tv still have the same as you

maybe you should moan to betfair for fast pics because its only betfair users who care about it, normal punters prefer a quality picture

Racing uk, like any company, would want to satisfy all of their customers. They have the technology to do that. It would be foolish for them not to.

maybe if you all put your money down before the race there would be decent liquidity for people to get a bet on, you know, having an opinion and backing it, proper punting

A lot of people, lots of them ruk users, will play in running. If you want to "punt" pre race then good for you.

surely if you are a serious in running player, and by that I mean a lowlife scumbag who goes to desperate measures to have the best chance of stealing money, you would want RUK as far behind as possible, whats really the difference to you whether its 1.5 or 1.0 behind? the sharks still have the advantage and all the other mugs playing on tv still have the same as you

If ruk was too far behind, no one would play. This isn't good for anyone with live or fast pictures. The faster the ruk picture the better for EVERYONE.

maybe you should moan to betfair for fast pics because its only betfair users who care about it, normal punters prefer a quality picture

It's racing uk I pay for a service not Betfair. If the pictures aren't as fast as they should be it is Racing uk who will lose out.

How many more times, there will be a HD picture for you and there will be a SD picture AS WELL...everyone will be happy, the in-running players will get what they want and you'll be able to pick out all the individual mud splatters on the jockeys goggles better than you could before....everyones a winnerHappy

The Racing UK picture is of far better quality than ATR despite being less delayed. There is a very tenuous link at best. Soon you will have HD anyway so your argument will be well and truly down the toilet then. Cheers.

you dont pay Betfair for a service? what is commission then? what is premium charge? surely its betfair you should be asking to provide faster pictures in order to improve their product

you pay RUK for a racing channel, its not an in running service to cater for a specific type of betting, its for all racing fans, would be great if they could have a quality picture as fast as possible but I really dont think its a top priority for them to go all out shading points of a second off broadcast just to serve a no doubt minority of their customers
By:

When: 27 Jan 16 15:35
They don't have to go all out to "shade" points of a second off. They have the technology already as has already been shown for near 2 years if not more.

All they have to do is use the same set up they were using before to show the pictures around 1 second behind live. You will also have the hd for you 'punters'

It doesn't have to be poor for anyone, can be good for all.

In-running betting should be seen as a priority for the horse racing industry. Interest in the sport is in rapid decline. In my view, promoting in-running betting and making it as fair as possible by providing pictures as close to live as possible is the best way to attract youngsters to take an interest in the sport.
By:

When: 27 Jan 16 15:43
The only problem with that is the tiny profit margin, jack. Pre-race betting is better for the industry. BUT imo they should promote IR but with a bigger takeout. Maybe 10% on winnings.
By:

When: 27 Jan 16 15:44
yeah because thats what young people want, picking up pennies at 1.03, sure their fingers will be fast enough have been born with mobiles in hand but I dont think many of the have the bank size to make it pay in running
By:

If they don't take action to attract new blood there won't be any punters left to bet pre-race in the next few decades.

the only people winning on bf are pro in runners...otherwise you would use a non pc applicable exchange.

When: 27 Jan 16 15:57
The younger brigade who are only interested in a quick fix and can't get excited or can't be bothered about trying to work out form and instead look to the quick fix of the fobt's would more than likely be attracted to the idea of in-running betting, I'd have thought it would tap into that adrenalin rush type thing they are looking for.

the subject changed to the future of the sport loper, im talking about corruption in the sport as a whole, which obviously translates into betting in running and pre race, minimizing that corruption would be beneficial to attracting a new generation of fans but its down to the people directly involved
By:
oneyallbeenwaiting4
When: 27 Jan 16 16:12
but chances of them suddenly developing a conscience and looking at the bigger picture rather than self interest is very slim, still there is problems not related to corruption that can be fixed but again it would be at the expense of the self interest of the rich

now you have to make a bet for every race
that sometimes takes alot of time
