Late suspend allowing track players to hoover.
By:
Those accounts should be given a warning.
By:
was just about to post the same
this is a total disgrace get a grip Betfair |
By:
ocean, it is not the on-course players fault that they are betting on a result that they already know .
By:
unless the judge makes an immediate correction to his announcement....rather than 4 days later

Fleckerl 4.4 into 1.3 about 2 secs before suspend

was obvious the rag had won on the sllow mo...
By:
I'm sure about 4-5 years ago Betfair clamped down/voided this kind of thing for a bit.
Not seen it in recent years |
By:
Imo the prices changed when ATR showed a replay that favoured Flekerl
By:
I seem to recall betfair used to bang on about how their technology in use in the exchange mechanism was beneficial in weeding out cheats....never hear about that argument anymore either.
By:
they are in bed with the cheats now. It is almost certain the winners here would be on course "punters" paying the premium charge. It' a shame they don't realise that long term efforts to maintain integrity will result in the long term success of an exchange.
By:
Insanity, yes they came together then, but we're talking 5-10 seconds before the result on ATR - a massive slide on the second and winner came right in.
By:
more like 2-3 seconds
By:
maltese you are talking absolute nonsense...
going past live i thort the middle had won..on the still they were indistinguishable.. then seconds before the suspend atr showed the finish in slow motion..was then clear to me that flecker had won..i then tried multiple clicking but only got 1 matched. Nothing untoward wotsoever. I was going to post this but decided not too
![]() Surely though as soon as the judge says:HERE IS THE RESULT OF THE PHOTOGRAPH FOR FIRST PLACE It should be suspended otherwise money is being stolen, and needs to be reported to the local constabulary for further investigation ![]() |

By:
the way it works is this...mid race the betfair rep rings hq....if photo the info is relayed...rep stays on phone till result announced....same for inquirys.
Unfortunately sometimes signal goes and they lose the live line...occasionally if last race the rep makes a beeline for home...hence no re opening. such is life**** happens. |
By:
A simple method of time-stamping announcements and bets placed would solve all this. Oh, hang on, the bets already are time-stamped, so that just leaves one more thing to be done.
But given that the authorities don't even know a colt has become a gelding until weeks after the event, or which jockey rode a horse last week, or what the actual race distance is, or what percentage of races had non-runners, or why horses declared lame a few days ago are running today, I won't hold my breath. |
By:
true bettinghelp, but it's a bit like trying to regulate penny up the wall.
much like the jockey club, the BHA would presumably have absolute disdain for such illicit ways of earning a hard crust. |
