Very generous price in my opinion. I think Cameron may well have a few aces to play in the run-up to the vote though, which is the main reason I'm adopting a wait and see stance. If he can sort out something on the biggest issue of all then he will probably win an "In" vote.

I would be very wary, Dik.
Bear in mind that the entire British establishment, including any mainstream politician who wants to have a future career, the BBC with their vast output of propaganda, and all 'fashionable' public figures from the entertainment world will be campaigning - with as dirty a means as necessary - to stay in. Added to which the full might of the EU itself will bring its weight to bear - look at the lengths they went to to keep little Greece in the Eurozone. and of course Obama will not sanction GB leaving the EU. For good measure, you can add in a nice dose of electoral fraud, such as we have seen now in so many instances. We are all being carried along by the plans for global government and the U.K. will not be bucking the trend. I'd suggest there will be plenty of 7/4 chances available every day where you will stand some chance of collecting, perhaps check them out instead. |

Beware taking advice on this issue from angry, race-obsessed over-50 year olds. The referendum will be won on the economic aspect and that is where "Out" will be found wanting. Farage will also turn off many of the undecideds.

I would want a lot more than 2-1. The vast majority of the establishment want to stay in and they will unleash a speight of fear propaganda.
The OP should get out if he can imo. |

Beware taking advice from angry left-winger nation haters who want to see the country turned into an Islamic state. |

It might be a case of the politicians on the one side trying to keep us in for personal reasons.
With the general public on the other side, well aware of why the politicians want us to stay in on the other. We could end up with the vote being a referendum on the credibility of the politicians. If that's the case then it'll be a vote to come out. |

There's no economic downside to leaving the EU that I've seen proven.
We'd carry on trading with the EU as we do now. |

I suppose the single biggest issue will be the ability to close our borders should we wish to .Thus control immigration which currently we cannot do . There is a report out today that says many many thousands of refugees currently in Germany will have the absolute right to enter the UK in three years time once they have been given German passports . That is a frightening prospect to perhaps a majority of people in the UK that are able to vote in the coming referendum . That sort of fact could well win the "NO" vote .
Surely being able to control who enters the UK ,and in what numbers will have a massive bearing on the way people vote ? |

This problem with the steel industry due to the cheap imports from China .
All we'd have to do if we weren't in the EU, is to slap tariffs on their steel to stop them dumping it on us. We can't do that without approval from the EU which we can't get. |

By far the biggest issue for me is being in charge of ourselves - democracy in other words - the EU is run by the unelected and we only have a small say in decisions ....
The problem is that many are worried about changing the status quo so 7/4 may represent fair odds and no more ... I for one will be voting to get out. |
|

I shall almost certainly be voting to come out as well, though I think it would all have been simpler if people had gone with me and not Thatcher in 1975.
There isn't much point in getting into the same situation as Switzerland and Norway who seem to have to do more or less what they are told to without a say themselves. I agree with crepello that the non-democratic nature of the EU is what bugs me most and always has. |

Whether you like The Sun newspaper or not....
I really think if they put up the headlines ''Lets get out'', or something like that, then we'll be out. they have an excellent record with voters.. I for one will vote OUT, and to be honest, i dont know anybody who wants to remain. |

I remember the Irish debacle.
EU demanded they did the vote again. There's no way they are going to let us go. Apart from France, Germany and UK I don't think any of the other countries have the money to provide the funds to keep it going. Greece has gone quiet but wait until they have to pay up instalments. It's a club that won't allow members to leave. Cameron will definitely come up with a trump card to play. |
