The 1st one of the season...

JOIN TOGETHER
Going for a 7 timer in points last time ( seasonal return, missed all of last season) when beaten 2L by “No loose Change” in the fastest time of the day on good ground…. No Loose Change rather stole that race, kicked clear with 3 to jump, stan sheppard was caught out and join together was closing it down all the way to the line.
That was Join Togethers 1st run after 18 months off, missed all of last season.... so a cracking run.
Its bound to come on for the run, and although it would prefer better ground, it handles this  ground.....

Pearlysteps loves the ground, and usually runs well fresh, but has a habit of hitting one and is 13yrs old now, will it be fit enough....

Chance Du Roy could be a cut above these, but again, fitness is the doubt in this ground.

A hard one to call on the ground, but with a fitness advantage and getting the weight, Join Together seems the logical choice.

Will be plenty of easier races to call this season (hopefully)...!

Full marks to those prepared to play, will happily pass myself, will be interested to see how Richmond performs in this sphere though as Ian Williams was hopeful it would go onto better things but it never happened with him or when it was moved to Venetia.

Have always had utmost respect for your opinions Koi. Had an e-mail yesterday from ITK(???)saying Chance Du Roy, despite being off for 277 days, is being lined up for a gamble here. I see there has been some money for it. Your thoughts please???

Chance du Roy has done me plenty of favours in the past so I will stay loyal and hope the new trainer knows what to do.

like i said in the write up, it could be a class above these,
but on the face of it we are guessing as to how fit it will be, the same applies to Pearlysteps.
Thats the reason why I went for Join Together, that run in its last point was a good one after 18 months off, it should come on for the run and hopefully be fitter than the others, in its points it looks to stay all day...
But if you have had info regarding CDR, then I couldnt out you off, I can only go off what I have seen, no info here on this race, GL

Chance Du Roy should love hunterchases, very hard to see passed him if in the right frame of mind.

Yes Koi, but sometimes this type of horse responds to a kind, if not too professional rideGrin

Absolutely NWK.  Join Together a perfect example.  Massively regressive under Rules and the O/R of 139 is a joke.  Clearly turned some sort of corner between the flags but not one I'd be tipping at that price back on a proper racecourse.

Well they clearly must mean something koi...if they're up-to-date and remotely reflective of a horse's ability.  But struggling with 139 and tempted to conclude P2P form has come into it.  Surely he wouldn't be 139 after his last five runs and coming back from over two years off?

frank i don't think theres any real nap here, was just talking with my pal from the points and we both said  whilst on  his rules form chance de roy could win and  also so many   go from rules to points/hunters and are "gone", looks tricky and id say the fav whilst  probably just about representing fav is  short enough in a tricky event.
