He was in the original syndicate but dropped out after failing to get the horses training fees and the 'lads' wages reduced. He also wanted a contract agreed that in the event of failure on the track that Mullins would repay all stable fees. He had also demanded that the jockeys silks were emblazoned with the Sports Direct logo.

The remaining syndicate members have expressed their disappointment that Mike has not joined them in their new venture.
