Any of you photo specialists remember a Saturday race at York in last 10 years where there was a truly massive 1.01 photo gubbing? Pretty sure a Godolphin horse was involved in the photo. Also think one of the horses had a Q at the start of its name.
A bit vague but someone will know. Used to be on the Gubbage website before it went to a pay site.

Is nobody going to address what I said - the only way you could tell from the photo on ATR what had won was the height of the heads - The two lines on ATR showed the winner was the highest head and the second was the lowest.
As they crossed the line Quarenta's head was well above The Blue Bomber's - therefore Quarenta was the winner and they just called it wrong because the photo was so dark.

Looking at the photo it seems to me they are assuming the nose touching the line belongs to Sheehan's mount. It not sure that is the case. If that photo is exactly what the judge can see, then I reckon the horses heads are merged in the gloom.

That photo shows a nose on the line. Would anyone stake their life that it belongs to The Blue Bomber? I certainly wouldn't. Reminds me of the time I was on the wrong end of a photo in a greyhound race. Our dog wore a white muzzle that was lost in the "White line". I pointed out to the judge that our dog WAS a GREYHOUND, and NOT A PUG!

Lol, I've just seen this: Race 7 - 3:30pm. THE RACING WELFARE "JUNIOR" STANDARD OPEN NATIONAL HUNT FLAT RACE (CLASS 6) (This race will be run on the All Weather track) The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Gavin Sheehan, the rider of the winner, THE BLUE BOMBER, from entering the home straight. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Sheehan for 2 days as follows: Monday 28 and Wednesday 30 December 2015.
Isn't this absolutely ridiculous? No compelling evidence plus jockey used his whip above the premitted level, yet the result stands.

lynxx wtf has the level of the arm of the rider carrying a piece of sponge got to do with the debate..Grow a pair..You would believe this shower..http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2011/oct/18/jockeys-whip-didnt-hurt
Hang on teacher you are not allowed to raise your arm "above a permitted level" surely before you beat the horse to near death..
The stewards should be reported to the stewards for offences against the English Language...
