was a bit of a joke today I agree, was offered a fiver ew on carols and vincenco, and even ton don poli, fortunantley 2 shops 5 mins walk apart.
think i was only genuine punter in the q, you hear you can make 6 quid on this if you stick it in trader, make 40 if you free roll, getting people off streets to put bets on for them. unfortunatley these are the one who are ruining it for all of us. |

Ladbrokes have gone missing for several years, I can't remember the last time I checked their prices because they are never competitive. My understanding is they sold and leased back many of their shops a few years ago.
I was guest of PaddyPower at Cheltenham Champion Hurdle day and there was a lot of talk about Ladbrokes going into "examinership" in Ireland, which I believe happened, has there been any news regarding the result of this? Let's be honest high street bookies are a disaster for horse racing punters. Terrible prices compared to online, most are run down hovels with dregs of society flushing money down FOBT's. I had the misfortune to visit a Ladbrokes (I think it was Ladbrokes) underneath London bridge station to catch a race in the summer. It was a dreadful experience and I felt really sorry for the one cashier on duty behind a screen barrier trying to service the angry FOBT clientele, the atmosphere was tense to say the least. Honestly it felt like the end of the world. |
