I'm just a few miles away - very wet ground and still raining (until later this evening apparently) - has to be extremely doubtful

all national hunt racing is wonderful dave some is just better.

what i cant understand about people who post like one nation is that nobody will force him to watch or bet at sedgefield unless of course he is a problem gambler and he needs to bet on everything.

There are far too many fixtures as evidenced by the miserably uncompetitive and small fields predominating.

The loss of a 7 race 35 runner ARC fixture with no discernible quality can hardly be mourned.

SEDGEFIELD'S meeting today will go ahead as planned after an early-morning inspection at the track was not needed.

Officials had been due to check conditions at 8am, but clerk of the course Sophie Barton was satisfied racing could take place and gave the fixture the green light just after 6.30am.

She described the going as heavy and racing starts at 12.20.

Only 35 horses were declared for the meeting, which includes two three-runner races.
