After Grand Meister won yesterday I was quite keen on the chances of Silver Quay for this race as he was an eyecatcher behind him lto. The winner had also just failed on his next start so the form has a solid look. Whilst waiting for the prices to come out my eye was drawn to Fit The Bill for the in-form James Tate (1,3,1,3 in last 14 days). He hasnt run for 60 days and his most recent form hasnt been brilliant but by the same token he does it in the book to win this. Moreover, on checking, Adam Kirkby is a significant booking for the stable being 9-29 in last 5 years on the AW, rising to 5-8 in the past 2 seasons. In addition he is 4-11 for Saeed Manana, which of course could be the same horses as Tates.
Regardless, I decided to back Silver Quay to win and then had a good few quid e/w on FTB at 16-1 when the prices came out.
Ive just checked this mornings prices and have to say im pretty gobsmacked to see the plunge in FTB's price. Is anybody else on here on the gamble and if so, why? There has to be more than meets the eye to justify such a collapse in price.
I also now have the dilemma of whether to cash out or not!!
Just discovered that Len Lungo is James Tates father-in-law. Probably putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 22 but old Len liked a punt in his days. Maybe he's been tipped the wink
Starting to drift now as other come in for support, looks a pretty decent betting heat.

Laid the win part off so it couldnt have worked out better as i really fancied Silver Quay if they went a good gallop - which is what its been needing - and thanks to the Cole runner they did.
Cheers.
