The 1991 running was a 6 runner race
Carvills Hill..........One of best horses not to win Gold cup Katabatic.............. Champion Chase winner Celtic Shot............Champion Hurdle winner Cool Ground............Gold Cup winner Bonanza Boy............Dual Welsh National winner Aquilifer..............Good horse in own right and bound to have won a couple of decent races |

It wasn't 'taken away', the owners of both tracks decided it would be better at Newcastle as a boost to the Fighting Fifth card, rather than getting small fields and 'competing' with the Tingle Creek card. No-one would disagree with you Fidway.
The 3m Listed Chase at Aintree is supposed to be the replacement, although they don't seem to show the race much love. |

Chepstow now put on a Welsh Grand national trial (This saturday) which seems to attract the type of horses that actually run in the welsh national.

Agreed. The Rehearsal, like the Mandarin, used to be top races.

Of course it was "taken away". Both Chepstow and Newcadtle are ARC tracks. Get your facts right Headmaster.
|
|
By:
Actually, if you want to get into it, ARC didn't exist when this happened, bellend. It was Northern Racing. So, erm, get your facts right "Paris Pike".
Now fook off back to playing conkers and let people who know what they're talking about talk, old chap, yes? ![]() |

now now ladies
|

Yes, it was Northern Racing who owned both at the time. A semantic difference. The point remains valid. The Compamy being it ARC or NR took the race away from Chepstow and gave it to the terminally in decline Newcastle.
Odd how insults are the refuge of the corrected. |

You are a million Paris Pike. I've got more racing knowledge in my unfurled foreskin than you will ever have. Please feel free to continue banging your head against a brick wall though. I like it.

Apologies Fidway, please try to ignore us. I have a stalker.

Please feel free to consider yourself stalked HM. I'm sure it does your ego good. However it won't be by me.
