From what I can gather, there are 2 main reasons why people have been hating on Tommo for many years now and those are:
1. His meanness.
2. His rip off premium rate tipping line.

Haven't heard of that one. What's that all about then?
He takes a bucket to the races.
Between races he persuades racegoers to write their name & address on the back of a losing betting slip and to put it in the bucket.
He then conducts a raffle-type draw for a prize which is usually a free bet or a stable visit.
He takes the betting slips home and adds them to his database of unsuspecting, gullible people he can sell tips to.
He mail shots people trying to persuade them to join his tipping service for which he wants a monthly subscription, and continues to pester them.
If you win a stable visit, he's usually on hand to try and persuade you to buy a share in a horse.
People who get involved with this scheme often lose considerable sums of money.

His lip smacking commentaries are also a highlight for me-a very irritating individual altogethrt
The above reasons plus his horrendous mock sincerity.
Has anyone noticed his latest annoying habit in commentary when he states at the start of any NH race they will "hopefully" be jumping x amount of fences,seems to say it at the start of every effing race 
I have searched for a redeeming feature in Thompson.
Without success.
Without success.
And anything less than 7/2 fav is described as "the red hot favourite" throughout the race.
