Why,  if they dont need it, it will not improve them,

obviously if the are struggling with their breathing they cant perform to their best, so its natural to see improvement one they have the op.

Must just be unlucky with the amount of horses he gets that need breathing ops and wind ops.

Nicholls has most of his young horses done almost as a matter of course, often just as a precautionary measure. But at the end of the day it's the Owner who must decide -- op. costs £1500.

Yes, but I'm talking about the Nicholls-style ops. He doesn't muck about with cauterisations, which are often ineffective. It's the full monty for him.
