TONY McCOY, the record-breaking 20-time champion jockey who retired from the saddle in April, escaped unhurt on Wednesday morning when the car he was driving was involved in a three-vehicle motorway pile-up.
The M4 was closed between Hungerford and Swindon while police and emergency services attended the scene, reopening after the carriageway was cleared of the wreckage.
Speaking to the Racing Post on Wednesday, McCoy, 41, said: "I'm fine and so is the other person in the car. We were involved in an accident on the M4 between junctions 14 and 15."
McCoy, who rode more than 4,000 winners in an unmatched career, added: "A van and a car collided in front of us and I ended up with nowhere to go as a result.
"Fortunately nobody was injured but all the vehicles were badly damaged."
ramruma in pile up terms u can have a 2 car pile up ! but u have to be in the media to classed as important , unless your a star! you need to be at least 6 cars to make news

Glad to see yesterday's bitter thread against Mrs McCoy got binned. The reputation of this forum is worryingly low, with many racing fans dismissing it as a hate-fest.

Is this one of those news threads for people who haven't internet access.
They're like mushrooms tonight, I await news on BHA worried about job losses in racing as I've not seen anything about it anywhere and surely it's overdue.

who give a toss about the BHA needed reforming for long enough , if they policed the sport better punters would have more faith in the integrity of racing !

When the relevant thread appears I may have a answer for you on the BHA competence or lack thereof, Until then I wait as I can't find any news anywhere. Remember until it's posted on BF it hasn't happened.

I finally managed to get it removed after it had been up for 24 hours. No wonder PP are getting shot of the forum.
