She was actually declared for the big race tomorrow, but didn't get in - and she's also entered for the valuable 3M handicap hurdle at Haydock next weekend and the Hennessey in two weeks. Not exactly the entries you'd make for a two mile chaser.
Best form in France was her first chase over almost two and half miles - the second win was in a mares only race and should have been a penalty kick for her. Add in the Kempton form being over 2M 5F and this doesn't seem the obvious choice of race for her. Agree she's fairly handicapped and certainly has the potential to be a 140+ chaser, just left with the feeling that she could get outpaced by specialist two milers today. Not that I'd be rushing to lay her at the current price! |

It's been raining since last night . But pipes horses not running well. I'd take heed of drift till he shows he's coming back to form.

agree with fullset not setting the world alight , horse looks well h/capped but am leaving the pipe runners at the moe !

I am not really worried about the stable form. I don't think they are running too bad and likely nothing decent been out before this weekend.
Was aware of the entries theanorak and her future does look over further, but they are here to win today. They have plenty of yardsticks and they must think the 2 miles is not a problem. |

if it runs to french form it should win , and did no prob as stiff track, if the stable where in better form ad lump on ev money a place ?

...can not have it in a 2m chase at a top track.....the drift is spot on, as always...

Sew On Target, to bounce back....... sulked the last day..... we may not see as many front runners than last timeout. Pearl Legend may be the only other out and out front runner which will help..... and 12/1 looks too big..... u can have a small lay up too just in case he keeps nabbed late on

I think La Vaticane will also go from the front and may be hard to peg back
By:
Stable form a definite worry for me. Horses just don't seem to be quite finishing their races.
By:
I doubt La Vat... will go from the front.... I expect he will take a lead and use his stamina late on if still in contention.... Using his energy so soon in the race could certainly backfire

Mmmmmmm. tactics ???? poor from the Pipe team....

Jockey got too excited.

one for the notebook

The pace was been done for them why join in...... clueless

By:
Don't think it was poor tactics or a poor ride myself. Horses just not quite right imo.
By:
I think the Jockey gave it a great ride but the horse just not good enough.
By:
A horse that has won over further on heavy going........ poor imo....... opinions are great to have......... If u think so Acey..... how many horses that set the fractions finished in the places.......???
By:
Tom Scu with an uncharacteristic patient ride
By:
the third stayed on well enough for a place after making the running
By:
Easy. Isn't that a bit of a contradiction? The horse had form over further and on heavy... So surely making it a test was in his interests?
hardly the jockeys fault if yet another Pipe runner doesn't finish his race. |
By:
Tom Scu thinks hes on Reference Point every race
By:
how many horses that set the fractions finished in the places.......???.........Sorry but that means nothing to me easygold.....Best horse wins.

the 3rd made the running did it not
By:
Pipes hardly in amazing form, wouldnt be mad kean on KP tomorrow
By:
that seems to be a feature of Pearl legend's form the dealer in 2m chases
makes running, weakens, then rallies |
By:
was more addressing easygolds point that the fractions couldnt have been that bad as he made the running and still ran on for a place. Astracad was also in the fornt 4 all the way and finished 5th.
