Very strong on this one today, in his words, Samhain is potentially the best Fibresand sprinter we have seen in years. I've just watched his last race & agree he won with any amount in hand, Hugh seems to think the time was good (the speed figures I use back this up) BUT: a 2 length beating of Ann Stokells Bapak Bangsawan (33/1) in 2nd and Sir Geoffrey (14/1) in 3rd? Also, he says the draw in 9 is a negative. See it's easing out on BF, after the early money, but as much as I repect Hugh, really don't know what to make of this one? Thoughts anyone?
First you gotta trust whether the trainer can produce him right (questionable), second you gotta hope the horse just ain't gone (possible) and third you gotta hope the jockey is on his 'go forward' game (only a select few will actually know). Aside from all that horse should be a cert!!
