I backed kilcascan and I thought he had it jumping the last.I don't blame the jockey he rode a decent race and is just a plodder the other horse just had a bit more speed at the death

Yes and that is why you do a McCoy on it and take some of a better horses momentum away - just gives you that extra 4/5 percent chance of winning.
