He is a very good judge but he should be going private with a max of 500 clients. I don't know what he is actually trying to achieve with the ATR column. I presume he gets paid for it? The only real benefit I see is to mark the bookie's cards and for him personally, and I am not sure if he has this interest or not, it's the ideal back to lay day in day out.

Was 11-1 with the sportsbook last night if you wanted your 25p on
![]() I had a twitter convo with Hugh on the above subject a few years ago and its clear he just enjoys doing what he does and is not driven by money. Id be fairly sure he doesnt back them before they go live. Ive said this before on here the best thing Hugh does is explain his selections fully which allows you to apply his methodology to your own punting. If you follow Hugh daily and follow AW racing the Big Whiskey selection was not a difficult one to see coming imo. |

I have been full time at this game for 20 years and unfortunately i am driven by money , why else would you put yourself through the ups and downs of this sport if you weren't . Anyway i think you might be missing my point.Basically nobody can possibly get a bet at these prices hugh puts up. In effect the layers are having there card marked by a cracking judge for zilch. Also should add that everytime i see the Hugh on the telly he comes across as a humble fella with not a trace of an ego. My problem is that the only people who benefit form Hughs colunmn are the layers themselves.
