Very unlucky, Matt. Fell at the first hurdle. And you backed it each way so you would have lost double your dough. Could happen to anyone. Very unlucky.

Matt, what about Battle Hymn ? You were saying that whenever there's a gamble on Charles Byrne's horses, lots of people would "just back it blind". Were you one of them ? Odds on and never looked like winning. Again, could have happened to anyone. Don't start chasing your losses though, Matt. Always a bad idea.

Unlucky Matt. Beaten about 10 lengths, I think. Hope you didn't lose too much. I presume you are out of the placepot so the best you can probably do is just get one winner on your Lucky 15. You'll get double the odds (if you do manage to have a winner) so you might get your money back.
