I was asked to stand in recently and give a chap a hand and one of the big courses at his pitch, anyway i shocked and surprised how poor the betting turnover was on track. There seems to be a mammoth difference between what is traded on course in both countries. English come with  pound or 10 pound notes a bit like the lad from the Beeb documentary a few months back, Irish with €50's. English punters need to stop talking about not getting on, come to track they will lay easily lay you those sort of amount that the average punter punts in the England.

Why would I want to go to the track and back £50's on @ 5/2 when you know that there will be 3/1 and more on Betfair ??

It's rare you can get that difference and if you are your almost certainly backing a loser.
