Opened account, deposited money, won money, went to withdraw money, now they saying I must sent to them (time delay) original documentation of utility bill or bank statement first before I can bet my money back!  Betfair, Bet365, PaddyP, Corals, Will Hill, BetVictor etc do not request this documentation, so why should they?  Anyone else experience this frustration?

Pretty much all the non-dom companies do this.    However, usually pretty painless.

It is however something that should be addressed by the Gambling Commission.  This should be enforced upon deposit and not withdrawl.

That is what I advised them. They should be happy you have passed ID and security checks before allowing you to place funds with them at first instance. They just said that they didn't want you to miss out on current betting opportunity and said allow you to place funds immediately. I was advised that documentation requirements were made clear on their website T&C's, but like anyone actually reads through all these thoroughly first when in a rush to try and get on!

why are you betting with them in the first place ...
Report reetus November 6, 2015 10:17 PM GMT

5's paid

is better than 13/2 not [and thats why they were 13/2]

Type in betway complaints in the Internet and see why u shouldn't bet with them.

Had I known that I would be getting this hassle with withdrawing funds, I would certainly have gone with account with a firm I already had open. Jokers

You'll get paid fine, don't worry.  It's pretty standard procedure, like it or not.

The supposed bigger high street firms are just as bad now anyway, so no reason to bet with them over Betway.

Done it countless times myself and never had a problem.  Although with so many utility firms now offering paperless billing can see it being a bit of a nightmare for some people.

I am still waiting for £3500 back from 888 dating back to 3rd June 2015. I have sent them all they asked for. I even had to find a solicitor who would notarise it(sign it to say its mine) which cost me £70. They still say, 5 MONTHS LATER, that their investigation is not finished. I have put in a complaint with the Gibraltar Gambling Commission for what good that will do. BEWARE WHEN BETTING WITH THESE TINPOT FOREIGN BOOKIES

These people should make it clear what documentation is needed BEFORE accepting any money from you. I had a similar request from the purple lot after having asked first what they needed. Betfair also asked me for updated details after i changed my address from the one in France. I had been a client for about 6 years at the time, but could understand where they were coming from in this instance. France being a banned country and all that.
