Nicholls won't lose face by dumping Sam. But I agree Scholfield is better option. The second might be a hound people seemed to wanna lay it.

Rode that well but I don't think he is near as goos as STD

STD is suited to his  old man's horses not the types Nicholls has.

His show-jumping background a big asset when presenting horses (esp. novices) at fences, a skill which is not STD's strong point. Hope he gets a bigger share of the Ditcheat rides this season.

Two more good rides today, Kilmurvey and Moorlands Jack. The first one couldn't quite get there but the second did. Both very decent prices.

Another last-to-first masterclass from Nick there.

Everything is last to first, well thats the intention. Jamie Spencer of the jumps.
When it comes off one in 10, it looks good.

He is equally good making the running imo. Now that the going is getting softer he seems to be riding conservatively early and overtaking the exhausted ones that have gone too fast. The key though is getting the horses jumping economically and staying on the inside.
