If he was racing in UK he would have forced a passage 1f from home......and probably would have won imo. Didn't risk it.
Moore was good on Alice Springs, he is top class all right
never looked like getting there imo regardless of the run
sht ride from start to finish horses head was over the side in the stall too

Alice Springs was a cert beat, bad ride from moore
Moore is the best jockey, but it could make too much more for Alice Spring... but previous than this race I know that american would be careful about this filly and they try to stop him... Leparoux make a box for her!
Hit it a bomb take it as surprise... but this filly was favorite at post time!
prob was the horse cocked his head just before the gates opened, so missed the kick and could not get in the front 2 or 3 or a clear run, so had to go round the inside (as he was drawn there).
Then could not go when he wanted as the American moved his horse inwards to stop him getting out.
Not a lot Moore could do there, maybe in Europe could have barged him out, but not in the USA.

He rode for luck both times. He got lucky on the first being the main beneficiary of a complete pace collapse. On the much more fancied one the Wes Ward leader just slowed the pace down and he got stuck in a pocket from which he never looked likely to get out. I don't know whether he would have won with a clear passage but it would have been nice to have found out.
Wonder if he will be messing up on Legatissimo and doing the bookmakers another big favour? She is much the best so there should be no excuses.

Why did he not kick on with the proven stayer there? He let Ortiz get first run as usual
Kitten's Joy is a sensational turf sire in the U.S. and the winner was always going to stay just as well if not better than Legatissimo.
Didn't make enough effort to get a decent position early and consequently was three lengths off where he should have been turning for home. She was never going to quicken as she normally would on that ground. Shocking effort.
the winner quickened up better than Legatissimo. not much Ryan could do about that.

That win pays a big compliment to Fantastic Rock. Followed that line of form tonight with some trepidation but won on merit tonight.
No rest for Ryan as he was on the Red Eye to Paris to ride at Saint Cloud for todays percentages.
