Reminder of a great era. Flat racing has been slowly dying ever since for a lot of people.

Not one of HRH's finest namings, she is usually far more creative, although being by Shamardal out of Bonnie Doon does not help.  Ben Doon would have been betterWink.

No reason why she can't use Bonhomie of course, although had a certain Shahrastani not been around.......Wink

Timeless - he said...

"Ma'am, your Majesty should be aware that there have been three previous Bonhomie's. It is not a restriced name though. Two of them were e ffing useless, but one was a moderately successful 2yo (just in the top twenty for that season), then a top class but largely unsuccessful 3yo, and was then sh it at 4"

"Oh bu gger it, I'll go with it anyway".  she replied apparentlyCool

Fidway - Correct - tailed off in the Gold Cup having already demonstrated twice that he wasn't going to cut it as a 4yo. Emigrated to Australia afterwards!

That was the year when Sir Henry won just about everything at Royal Ascot.

Space Cruiser
Midyan
Paean
Orban
Queen Midas

Think there was 2 or 3 more which i cant think of at the moment.
