Also, probably the earliest appearance of a 'National' (the Durham version in this case) during the traditional season (by which I mean end-July to end-April thus by which I also mean I ignore the former 'Summer National' at Uttox.
I'm sure the Durham National was run in the late Winter/early Spring- remember old Fatehalkhair winning it at least once...I see from RFI that previous two were also run at end Oct, tho not as early as 29th. Decent but trappy race TBH: am going for Twirling Magnet. Class above these on his best form. |
