No, I'm not speaking about only being able to get 10p on with the Sportsbook, I'm referring to the problem logging on at the weekend and the consequent downtime all users seemed to experience across all platforms.

Every time this happens there is an email of apology with a veiled suggestion that "changes have been made" and on we go again, until the next crash which inevitably happens at the busiest time and therefore affects more people, who often end up with irreversable positions on markets on the Exchange.

Having worked in quality, IT and engineering environments in my previous life were I the CEO/CTO I would be looking for the following every time we had a major site outage:

1) Root cause analysis of why this occurred
2) Corrective action to ensure the risk of repetition is mitigated (removing risk completely is very difficult)
3) Details of the "disaster recovery" policy, if indeed this exists?

So, is it time that Betfair started making public the above details every time we have a major outage?

(Incidentally, being unable to hedge a "back to lay" which went on and won actually won me a few quid, so no need for compensation, chaps).
