I suppose this race revolves around Romsdal, incredible he has still never won on turf, on his best form he should be 1/3 in this but the fact he is 7/2 tells you the story, has had numerous chances and never seems to deliver but this might be his easiest task yet. The fillies form doesnt look anything special and while I made the mistake of dismissing Star Storm for Fanshawe a few weeks ago, id be surprised if he gets another one improving like that with Moderah.

Rawaki for me is the value at 9/1, hes hardly one to trust himself but hes only had a few runs this season and can be forgiven the last one when the ground would have been softer than ideal, his John Porter and Geoffry Freer form at this track would give him a massive chance in this field, even his run at Goodwood this season puts him bang there. I know the race has been dominated by 3/4yos, the last 7yo to win was in the 80s, but thats factored into the price and this is probably his last chance to win a group race at the age of 7. Balding will have him 100% today and if Romsdal dogs it again he could be too good for the fillies.
