HR Forum Matchplay Challenge - THE FINAL

Champion: £75
Runner-up: £25

Prize money kindly provided by Betfair

Rules:

All selections must be posted before the first race of the day.

Selections:

You have a mythical £300 to put on 3 selections (£100 on each) in 3 different races - this can be win and / or place, so for example:
£60 win and £40 place.

To progress to the next round you have to do better than your opponent in terms of profit / loss.

Up until the final (please see below regarding the format for the final), you may select in any race run under rules in the UK or Ireland

Winning bets will be settled at BFSP (no commission applied) - and place terms will be the same as Betfair's, so for example, if there are 3 places on the Betfair market despite there being only 7 runners after NRs, there will be 3 places for settling purposes.

Additional place markets do not count.

Please note:
Your stake is not included in any returns, qualification is determined by profit / loss on your 3 selections.

Duplicate Selections:

Are not permitted, first come first served. If you duplicate any of your opponent's selections it will be settled as a loser.

The Final - October 17th:

Both finalists will be required to make a selection in each of the races on Ascot's Champions Day card, again using the above format with £100 to stake on each selection. Again duplicate selections are not permitted.

Non-runners:
-Can be replaced any time before the first race of the day.
-Will incur no loss as long as posted before the horse was declared a NR.

Reserves:
Are NOT permitted

In the event of a tie:
The competitor whose selections would have won the most had they obliged will go through.

Fair play:
I will ensure that fair play and common sense prevails and in the unlikely event of a dispute, my decision will be final.
