Last Price matched in Stewards Enquiry betting

First Past the Post = 1.17

The other horse - eventual winner, courtesy of Stewards = 7.0

Clear daylight for 3 furlong and couldnt go past, how can anyone say that would of won without the bump.If Smullen was on the other one would have stood for sure.

Just watched the replay. The original runner up wouldn't have got past at any stage. An abominable decision. Stewards? A bit like giving a bunch of kids the keys to a school tuck shop.

Only just seen the thread, what a shocking decision , and i am  not talking  through my  pocket even though i backed the horse  but that was a joke , the promoted horse initially edges towards clear focus , the pair then duel for the lead clear focus does nudge the runner up but no more  than that before ending up comfortably ahead at the line.

You will find your if you say anything about a stewards decision or a poor ride it's "pocket talk"

I  backed the original 2nd ,thought there may be a stewards , but saw the head on and thought the winner was the best horse .I was very surprised
the result was altered,I think I was very lucky .Poor decision by the stewards.

Does the "must be sure that the interfered with horse would have won" stipulation apply in Ireland?
By:
blunder
When: 14 Oct 15 14:26
there is no such stipulation

ty - so any kind of substantial interference would mean amended result?
By:
roida
When: 14 Oct 15 16:35

Worst decision for many a day. Wins 1/2l easing up.
3 things:
Young Leonard(10) - Riding for small stable, stewards decide to teach him a lesson, while he is still in nappies.
P. Smullen - well able to put up a good case.
Prince Saif Aldin Al Saud - Winning owner!!!!

Interesting that no one putting up an argument for the reversal which is very unusual on here.
A yes or no vote would be interesting.
Should it have been reversed Yes/no

1. no
