The Old Site is remaining for the foreseeable future

No sign of it closing down if you know where to look     

the company is a complete mess. it has betfair bots and cross market cross matcher bots for football markets that only show on the new site.

so you could be trying to market make on the old site and never get a bet matched and the matched amount would be mysteriously going up.

Things are certainly getting worse.

The horseracing site is extremely slow and my balance is not in view for the most part which is annoying and tedious.
The best racing experience is fast becoming the worst and the powers that be should bite the bullet and return to sanity.

If betfair want to compete with the exchange then they must be at the very least competitive in price offered and that is just not happening.
Somebody who understands the game better must be found who gets what Betfairs customers want and please let that be very soon because its not going to be a slow road to the door.

why is your balance not in view, mine is, new site is a bit slow at times but more info in one place is a advantage, i dont suppose they could keep both

My balance is not in view most of the time, the whole yellow toolbar disappears when you go into a betting market.  It's very frustrating, does anybody know how to fix this?

My balance usually just says loading and never loads, if I go to my markets sometimes it just does nothing at all and then I have to keep refreshing the whole site to click something so that it works. Slow, unresponsive pile of cack.

Why they couldn't just direct the new customers to this and leave the older ones alone I will never know. It would keep everyone happy to a degree.

If the same price is available on purple they have my business, this mob just don't give a toss about exchange players and never listen to its' customers. Can we all chip in and buy purple, we all know what customers want...I got a fiver and a packet of monster munch to chip in for starters...

Well yes, virgin. But it surprises me that so many regular forumites are still moaning about the new site when there's no need to be there. Assuming they live in the UK of course.

I now have the old site back - happy days.

Does anybody know if Betfair have upset atr because on many races the bookmakers odds box they have betfair listed as the lowest price, even lower than Ladbrokes and that is pretty insulting to put it mildly.

Re my balance.
On the old site my balance was in full view throughout any transactions, on this site it  disappears whenever I click onto a market and I have to keep going back to the beginning.
Surely this is ridiculous.
I also keep seeing the sports book tag in the top left when I only want the exchange.
I think the sad fact is I think they are trying the 3 card trick.

My markets won't even load on the new site now, I got to go back to the homepage and start again to get to the relevant market.

It's a fecking shambles, Betfair should hang its head in shame for how they have ruined a perfectly working site to this new garbage. I have given it a chance the last couple of weeks but it is just not fit for purpose.

I have tried the P68 link but still get directed to the new site.

Hate the blue and pink colour. The profit/liability when you have placed your bet is not very clear either.

Have given it a go the last few days but I Just do not like it. I will be going back to purple for all my win and place bets until this shyte is put right.

The slow loading of markets and the mysterios, disappearing, yellow header seem widespread.
To get the yellow back i have to go to the 'hime' tab refresh and then navigate back to the market of interest... often several times.

i just hold the address in wordpad and when I want to go into betfair I copy and paste the address (without the spaces) into firefox.
Been working for me for a few weeks now.

Ivor, the only reason you go back to the New site is because you delete cookies. As long as you don't delete cookies, then you'll stay on the old site.

If you need to get back to the old site, then just type in mememe's url, or find it without spaces on the Site Feedback forum under the old site v new site thread.

The link on the Site Feedback forum will probably never be deleted, because that's the one forum Betfair never look at.

You really have to wonder about how sharp some minds really are when they come on here day after day complaining about the new site, when the old site has never disappeared and never will unless Aus/NZ legislation changes to allow casino advertising on sports betting sites.

I use the link as my homepage in Firefox.

I now have the link as my homepage in chrome.

Why is the price increasing, seems very odd to me.

posting the link to the old site in "code" sort of gives me a sense of revenge over Betfair ... especially when the incompetents cost me money through p!ss poor IT such as the crash last Thursday just before the Brighton 15.20 off.

I layed Mister RockandRoll about 3 mins before the off-time, then had second thoughts and had a bet to win (which was matched) before the suspend.  Site crashed, so I checked my account and it showed both lay and win bets.  Good I thought, and my account balance was showing all was ok.

Then 5 mins later account diminished and only lay bet had gone through (so I lost, as Mr R won).  Phoned helpdesk and asked what happened as both bets matched ... explained to me that my bet to win bet was after the race off time and therefore was reversed out!
Man said he hoped that I would be able to make up for my loss by winning in future!!

Have they ever done anything to help a customer out for their Feck ups?? Has to be one of the worst run companies going for customer service and "technical issues".
