I've never ridden a horse but I have no idea why jockeys try to finish up the rail. They let that win on the other two horses imo.

There was a gap there to be fair. Kirby looked round, saw the one behind was going for the rail and deliberately cut him off. Happens every day without consequences.

He's got the whole track to use, he can't get cut off passing on the near side.

Laid the winner as it was short but until that type of result is chucked out in the stewards room then the BHA cannot possibly say the game isn't bent simply because Kirby will get a day off so if it warrants a day off or a fine the result should be changed but won't happen in my lifetime
