Can anyone remember the original Sussex fortnight? I think it started off on Monday at Lewes, 4 days at Goodwood, a day at Lingfield then the next week at Brighton ,for how many days? then??

Must have been more than 50 years ago, because in 1965, Goodwood was 4 days, but on the preceding Monday, the nearest racing to Sussex was at Alexandra Park, and on the Saturday, was Epsom. On the following week, there was Brighton from Tuesday to Thursday, but that was it for Sussex.

Same story in 1960. Calendar almost the same (except Birmingham on the Monday before Goodwood. That had disappeared by 1965).
