cant argue with that. What a poorly judged ride indeed. Is there any decent jockeys in british racing at the  moment

I backed Ainslie to place only but could see once it was drawn 7 of 8 and was having to come from behind that it was very likely to have to sit longer and hope for gaps to the inner and risk others getting away, or make its challenge coming wide and so the jockey chose the latter.

He was on a hiding to nothing regardless of what he did but that's just bad luck in race riding and certainly doesn't make him a poor jockey.
